Joe Salant’s Latest Song Takes Aim to Expose Injustice Within America\'s Immigration Policy
The team at Reconstructionist Radio, Recon Records, and Joe Salant have released a new song in an attempt to shed some light on, and expose the injustice within our nation’s immigration policies. The song, Not For All, discusses a hypothetical family that experiences the hardships of living in an area controlled by the cartel while also being trapped due to strict immigration policies.

Houston, TX – A freedom-minded musician, Joe Salant, has turned his attention to use the medium of rap music to expose the injustice that is inherent to the government controlled immigration policies embraced by both sides of the government within the United States. The song is titled, Not For All, and is an allusion to the hypocrisy of the final words of the Pledge of Allegiance which, according to Joe Salant, should more aptly read “with liberty and justice for those who appease the arbitrary demands of the USSA bureaucracy.”

Joe Salant, the recording artist of #NotForAll, states that what one allows the State to do to foreigners seeking refuge will eventually be done to those who are not foreigners. Joe goes on to say that conservatives who clamor for tight government control over immigration have themselves to thank for the surveillance within the country and that it is no coincidence that National ID is always worked into the immigration legislation.

The song, Not For All, is a story about a family from Juarez, Mexico, that is seeking refuge from the threats of their local cartel and demonstrates the evil outcomes of American immigration policies on the lives of those seeking refuge. The hypothetical family from the song is representing the thousands of real families who are forced to use illegal means to find refuge when an open door to freedom is blocked from them due to strict immigration policy. As the song goes on, tragedy ensues and what could have been a song of triumph for an oppressed family seeking freedom and safety becomes a song of murder, drug addiction, and human sacrifice. This song demonstrates the reality of oppression represented by policies that modern conservatives encourage. According to Salant, evil laws are the outpouring of an evil civil religion and evil can only ever be the result. Salant feels that the time for justice is now and hopes that this song can be a message for that.

The team behind Not For All hopes to use the song as a small step toward transforming a culture that regularly makes a mockery of the words that are inscribed on the Statue of Liberty, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuge of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” The team behind this song hopes that it can guide the United States to truly being the land of liberty and justice for all.
